Jaipur is an important centre on Indian Airlines north India network, and is connected with daily flights from Delhi, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Aurangabad and Mumbai. Jaipur Airport, 13 km from city centre (M.I. Road), is quite a small airport with all facilities housed in a single building. Taxis are available at the airport for transfer to the city. The other flights that connects Jaipur with important cities in India are Air India, Modiluft, Archana Airways, UP Air etc.

The airport is 15 km out of town. The airport bus costs Rs.20; a taxi costs Rs.160. Jaipur has taxis, auto-rickshaws, cycle-rickshaws, tempos and a city bus service, which also operates to Amber. Bicycles can be hired from several of the budget hotels as well as from the Arya Niwas Hotel. Jaipur has four major means of public conveyance. They are the city commuter bus, the tempo mini buses, the three wheeler taxi and the rickshaw. Jaipur has tourist taxis also which are no metered. Your hotel or travel agent can arrange for them. The taxi stands are situated mainly on M.I. Road.
